Why bye weeks matter more in best ball than standard: in standard fantasy, bye weeks are managed by adding replacement players from the waiver wire — the manager fills the gap. In best ball, there is no waiver wire — the optimizer only works with what the draft produced. A single-team stack (QB + 2 WRs) that is on bye in week 10 produces zero correlated output that week — the optimizer cannot access the stack’s ceiling.

Building awareness of which weeks each team is on bye helps managers identify when two heavy stack targets share the same bye week — a situation to avoid when possible.
