Privacy Policy

The short version: we collect as little as possible, we use it to run the site and the newsletter, and we never sell it. The details are below.

Analytics

We use first-party analytics to understand which football tools and pages people use, so we know what to improve. This includes page opens, clicks, referrers, approximate session duration, tool interactions, and whether visitors use things like the trade calculator, value charts, share buttons, or newsletter forms. We also record the page title and your browser’s user-agent string. We record the page path only — never the query string, and never the part of a URL after #. We don’t build advertising profiles, and we don’t need an account to serve you.

Analytics runs on our own infrastructure. We do not use a third-party analytics service, and we do not store your IP address.

Newsletter & email

If you subscribe, your email address is passed to MailerLite, the service that sends the emails, and MailerLite stores it so it can send them. We don’t keep a copy of your address on our own servers, and we don’t share it with advertisers. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email, and we’ll remove your address from active mailing.

So the signup form can’t be flooded, our server does keep a one-way, salted fingerprint of your address — never the address itself — and uses it only to count how many signup attempts it has seen in the last minute. The fingerprint can’t be turned back into your email address.

Local storage & your device ID

This site sets no cookies. It uses your browser’s local storage instead.

Some tools save your preferences there so you don’t have to re-enter them: your league format, an in-progress trade in the Trade Calculator, your light/dark theme choice, and whether you’ve dismissed the newsletter prompt. Those four items are also copied to our server, so they follow the device rather than living only in one browser tab. Nothing else in your local storage is uploaded.

We also store a random first-party device ID in local storage. It is not tied to your name or email, but it is persistent — it identifies the same browser across visits until you clear your site data, and it is the key everything above is stored under. A separate, short-lived session ID is what groups a single visit’s page views together.

Rewards & referrals

If you use the rewards features, we keep a ledger of points earned and redeemed, plus the reason and time for each entry, tied to the same first-party device identifier described above. If you arrive through or share a referral link, we may also record the referring and referred device identifiers or referral code so we can measure attribution and prevent duplicate or abusive activity. Referral attribution does not by itself promise or award points. Points have no cash value and cannot be redeemed for money or prizes.

We don’t sell your data

Full stop. We don’t sell, rent, or trade your personal information. MailerLite is the only third party we ever send anything to — your email address, and only if you subscribe.

Your choices

You can use every tool without an account, and unsubscribe from email at any time. Because we set no cookies, blocking cookies changes nothing here — to reset what we hold about your browser, clear this site’s data in your browser settings. That deletes the local device ID. Server records already stored under its one-way identifier are not automatically deleted or re-linked to a new browser identifier. We don’t hold your email address — MailerLite does — so unsubscribing is what removes it; if you’d rather we asked them to delete it outright, reach out and we’ll take care of it.

Changes

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we’ll update the date above. Continued use of the site means you accept the current version.
