If your best ball team is loaded with players from playoff-locked teams, those players might score near zero in the critical best ball playoff week.
Targeting players on teams that play meaningful Week 17 games. Players on NFL teams that are still fighting for playoff seeds in Week 17 are more likely to play a full game and be fully used. In preseason drafting, it is impossible to know which NFL teams will have meaningful Week 17 games, but you can look at historical patterns (teams that are typically competitive but not dominant) as a rough guide.
