Identifying Best TE Stack Candidates

Primary TE targets in pass-heavy offenses. The most valuable TE stacking targets are QBs who heavily target their TE — offenses where the TE is a consistent 6–8 target-per-game option and the QB throws 35–45+ attempts per game. These offenses produce the correlated ceiling weeks because the volume is high enough that both the QB and TE are accumulating significant stat production when the offense performs well.

The secondary TE as stack alternative. Offenses where the primary TE is already drafted at premium cost (rounds 3–5) may offer secondary TE stacking opportunities through the backup TE or pass-catching TE in multi-TE sets. A second TE from the same offense who receives 3–5 targets per game adds correlated upside at minimal pick cost compared to the premium TE price.


Stack Balance vs. Roster Diversification

The cost of over-stacking. Managers who stack aggressively (QB + primary WR + TE from same team) create highly correlated rosters where the entire team’s ceiling depends on one offense having big games.
