How multi-entry best ball works: in large-field best-ball tournaments (the Underdog Best Ball Mania format, for example), managers can enter anywhere from 1 to 150 rosters in the same contest, each drafted separately. Each roster is a separate 18-pick draft that competes independently through the season. A manager with 10 rosters has 10 separate paths to the money — if any roster reaches the finals based on cumulative season scoring, it pays out separately. The challenge of multi-entry: drafting 10 rosters that are both high-quality (maximizing each roster’s expected value) and sufficiently different from each other (preventing all rosters from correlating on the same hits and misses).

Secondary diversification: vary the stacking combinations across entries (stack A in entries 1–3, stack B in entries 4–6, no stack in entries 7–10) to prevent all rosters from winning and losing together based on a single offense’s performance.

The correlation trap. Multi-entry managers who draft the same players in most of their entries have concentrated exposure — when their preferred players perform well, all entries succeed simultaneously; when those players underperform, all entries fail simultaneously.
