WRs with very high targets but extremely low catch rates or very short air yards (slot receivers who run mostly quick routes for 4–5 yards per catch) may have high volume without high ceiling — their targets do not generate the big-play chunks needed for explosive scoring. The best best-ball WR profile is a volume leader (8-plus targets per game) who operates at intermediate and downfield routes (generating 10–15 air yards per target on average) because this combination gives both the frequency and the yard-per-play outcome needed for ceiling weeks.
